Dakshina Bharatha Mahila Samaj (DBMS) was founded in Jamshedpur in 1944 by visionary women from South India, even before Indian Independence. What began as a cultural and social platform soon evolved into a dedicated social service organisation with education as its core mission. \r\n About Dakshina Bharatha Mahila Samaj (DBMS)\r\n <\/h2>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Dakshina Bharatha Mahila Samaj (DBMS)<\/strong> was established in Jamshedpur in \r\n 1944<\/strong> by a group of visionary women from South India, even before Indian Independence. \r\n Initially formed to provide a social platform for South Indian women with distinct languages \r\n and cultural backgrounds, the Samaj gradually evolved into a dedicated social service \r\n organization with education as its primary focus<\/strong>.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Guided by its timeless motto, \r\n \u201cVasudeva Kutumbakam \u2013 The World is One Family\u201d<\/strong><\/em>, \r\n the Samaj has worked relentlessly to uplift society through inclusive education and \r\n empowerment initiatives.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

    • 1965:<\/strong> D.B.M.S. English School (ICSE) \u2013 today serving around 3000 students.<\/li>\r\n
    • 1989:<\/strong> D.B.M.S. Career Academy to provide career-oriented education for women.<\/li>\r\n
    • 1992:<\/strong> National Open School (NIOS) for students seeking flexible education.<\/li>\r\n
    • 2002:<\/strong> Binapani Vidyalaya \u2013 tribal school adopted at Dhanchatani village.<\/li>\r\n
    • 2003:<\/strong> D.B.M.S. Kadma Girls School (CBSE), educating nearly 1500 students.<\/li>\r\n
    • 2004:<\/strong> D.B.M.S. Lilliput School for children below the poverty line.<\/li>\r\n
    • \r\n Chunnu Munnu Ki Sawari:<\/strong> Educational outreach program for slum children through books and toys.\r\n <\/li>\r\n
    • 2006:<\/strong> Akshardham \u2013 adult literacy program for women.<\/li>\r\n
    • 2006:<\/strong> Karnataka State Open University \u2013 IT programs for higher education.<\/li>\r\n

      \r\n Bhanumathi Neelakantan Awards & Aid Trust\r\n <\/h3>\r\n\r\n

      \r\n The Samaj also administers the Bhanumathi Neelakantan Awards & Aid Trust<\/strong>, \r\n instituted in 1995 in her memory. Each year, women from disadvantaged backgrounds are \r\n recognized for their exceptional contributions in the following categories:\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n
