Introduction
DBMS Career Academy was established with the vision of imparting vocational knowledge and academic skills, especially to women and learners seeking flexible educational opportunities. The vocational courses were launched in 1989, beginning with diploma and certificate programs supported by experienced faculty.
In 1992, DBMS Career Academy received accreditation from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), becoming a recognised vocational institute (AVI 760002). Since then, the Academy has played a pioneering role in providing inclusive, career-oriented education.

DBMS Career Academy functions as a comprehensive educational institution offering both academic and vocational programs. The Academy is accredited by NIOS for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses and is also recognised as an Accredited Vocational Institute.

DBMS – A Legacy of Education
DBMS institutions have been serving the community since 1961. Beginning with a Hindi Medium Girls High School, the organisation expanded into English medium education, vocational training, open schooling, and higher education.
- 1961: Hindi Medium Girls High School started
- 1965: English Medium ICSE School established
- 1989: Women’s Career Academy launched
- 1992: NIOS Open School introduced
- 2002: CBSE Co-education School started
- 2012: Online Exam Centre with computer labs
- 2017: DBMS College of Education started
Academic Courses (NIOS)
The primary objective of academic courses at DBMS Career Academy is to provide flexible education to learners who are unable to cope with conventional school systems.
- Special focus on girls, women, rural youth, SC/ST communities, working learners
- Secondary Level (Class X): 15 subjects, choose any 5
- Senior Secondary Level (Class XII): 20 subject options
- Registration valid for 5 years
- Bilingual question papers (English & Hindi)
Vocational Training Courses
The vocational courses aim to develop creative skills and promote self-employment. Training is imparted through hands-on practical work by qualified professionals.

Certification is awarded by NIOS after completion.

- Photo copy of School Leaving Certificate
- Photo copy of Notified area school certificate or authorised document
